Santa Barbara Citizens angry...

Unless this bird is rescued, it will likely
die of ingesting the oil it is trying
to clean from its feathers.
UPDATE May 21, 2015:  Turns out over 100,000 gallons spilled into the coastal waters off Santa Barbara.

Governor Brown has declared a State of Emergency.

The people of Santa Barbara consider their coastline among the most pristine in California; up until now, that it.

An oil pipeline off the coast burst and it is estimated that 21,000 gallons of oil have been spilled into the ocean and onto their beaches.
