UPDATE at 3:15 PM: Cal Fire says they now have the "Ponderosa Fire" fully contained at 5 cares. One outbuilding was damaged.UPDATE at 3 PM: With the help of an air tanker, a helicopter, five engines and 40 firefighters, the "Ponderosa Fire" is 60% contained at this time.
No evacuations
have been ordered although 8 structures are threatened. 5 acres have been burned. The cause of this fire is under investigation.
June 19, 2015 at 2:30 PM: CalFire is working a grass fire off Ponderosa Road near the old 6 mile bowl in Vallecito.
This is right near the Vallecito work camp. CHP has Ponderosa Road blocked off at Hwy 4. It appears to be right behind that subdivision, which is near Six Mile Road and Hwy 4.
