UPDATE on July 22, 2015 at 3:30 PM: The Copperopolis Fire Department says they cannot give out information due to HIPPA laws. All he would say is that he was taken by American Legion Ambulance, that he was not on duty at the time.
The Calaveras Sheriff's Office press person says he was there but left before the man was transported. He was not in good condition and had been given CPR for a lengthy period of time.
We have sent an email to the Coroner, Kevin Raggio, to see if he was called to the scene or if there is a death notice.
We also called and left messages and emails to AMA for information as to the man's name and where he was transported.
We will update as soon as we hear from any of them.

Hello, does anyone have an update? Or this guys name? I was the one who pulled this guy from the water and administered initial CPR. I stayed with him until the fire department arrived and we connected the AED. I cant stop wondering who how it all transpired. I would appreciate any information.
Don't blame you for wanting to know if he's all right. Hope he was, but you were still a hero for pulling him out.
Hello my name is Tami Scott, I am the sister of the man that you helped that day. His name was Scott Turco. Unfortunately, he passed. But I am so happy to see your comments, as I have been wanting to get in touch with you to thank you so very much for your valiant efforts to save my brother's life. I will be eternally grateful for all you did on that day and you will forever be in my prayers. Your actions were nothing less than heroic and I want you to know how sincerely my thanks to you are.
