Friends of the Fair meet July 15, 2015-Fair Report

   The Friends of the Fair will hold their next meeting at Camp's Restaurant on July 15, 2014 at 6 PM.

   At their last meeting Laurie Giannini, Fairgrounds Executive Director
thanked everyone who helped out with the 2015 Fair, reported that attendance over the weekend helped make up for what they lost during the rain; that the livestock that was stolen without payment were recovered with charges pending, and that one problem with a volunteer was being handled, along with an excessive number of free passes.

   The Friends of the Fair are to be thanked and need to be appreciated by the public. Many of the problems at Fairs in the past were brushed under the rug or hidden.

     Being open and up front is the best way to keep residents supportive of the Fair.  Rumors that circulated year after year, due to the secrecy, was extremely harmful to their reputation, especially the Fair Board and Fair Manager.  Thank you, Friends of the Fair!
