He was apparently angry with the bear for causing some type of damage to his property, but that isn't yet known.
Residents of the Lake Tahoe area love and try to protect the bears from nuts who just like to kill everything due to their own cowardice.
We have some crazy people like that living in Calaveras County. The mother bear who was killed, leaving her two young cubs alone last year, was reportedly shot because she was too big to fit in a trap of the paid animal assassins.
The mother bear was attempting to get some peaches off a peach tree for her cubs. We agree with the other animal rights advocates. It's these crazy humans who should be trapped and locked up for good.

I want to see the wounds he has. I'll bet he was doing something illegal that attracted the bear. They don't just go to some man's house to be mean. He should be charged.
Coward is right! He's probably cooking meth or some other illegal drug. And yes, there are cowards who carry guns in Calaveras too. some of them are total mental cases.

Typical cowardly bunch of bull. killing animals that have a right to live in the same forest you say you want to live in. Move away! What illegal activity was this guy hiding? You can bet it was something.
