Every citizen in Calaveras County should go to this meeting. It looks like the Wagon Trail project (agenda item 9) may be imploding.

Consent Agenda 5 they want to support the increase of tax on gasoline by 10 to 12 cents, 12 to 22 cents on diesel, increase vehicle registration fee by $35, .65% vehicle license fee increase.
Would the state need these additional funds for transportation if it had not loaned transportation funds $850 billion to the general fund and the annual loss of $140 million in off-highway vehicle fuel taxes?
Prop 42, 2002; Prop 1A, 2006; Prop 22, 2010 where voters supported dedicating and constitutionally protecting transportation dollars for those purposes, this is part of the complaint by the organizations representing local government, business, labor and transportation advocates and they recommend "any package should seek to raise at least $6 billion annually and should remain in place for at least 10 years or until an alternative method of funding our transportation system is agreed upon". I wonder if they make campaign donations?

The fine folks on the CCOG that represent the county and city voted for the increases. No answers were given for questions asked. A question was asked regarding the Brown Act, Counsel Jones responded in the normal negative fashion.
