UPDATE at 5:25 PM: The fire on Centennial Mine Road is around 1/4 acre in size at this time. It is being contained at this time.
UPDATE at 5:25 PM: The fire on Higdon is contained. Those crews are heading over to assist at the Centennial Mines fire.
UPDATE at 5:15 PM: A second call has been received of a fire on Centennial Mine Road in the same area of West Point. Appears to be caused by power lines down on or near a residence.
The first fire is around 1/4 acre in size at this time.
August 30, 2015 at 5 PM: A fire has been reported on Higdon Spink Road and Higdon Road in West Point. Power lines are apparently down.
Several CalFire units are responding to the area.
