Letter to the Editor: About Ebbetts Pass Fire board

   Dear Editor:

    My wife and I have been following articles about Ebbetts Pass Fire Board members and female clerks they hire.


   Don't get us wrong, we love the caring and capable firefighters who answer the emergency calls of traffic accidents, fires and other emergencies.

   We are however, aware that Board members, who brag and claim to deserve special credit, like the man Thomas Sullivan, should be questioned.

   We have personally seen Mr. Sullivan and his wife shopping at the Save-Mart in Angels Camp. Now I am aware that he was instrumental in getting the poor taxpayers of Ebbetts Pass to get the large increase in all of our taxes.

   Then why, does Mr. Sullivan SHOP in other locations, and NOT in Arnold.  I don't like to be critical, but if he is in any way honest about Ebbetts Pass Fire, and I sincerely doubt that he is, he should shop where the taxes benefit EPFD.

    Since I happen to know that he is, as has been written, a TEA PARTY right wing activist politician, no one should be surprised that he is NOT faithful to the area that funds his acitvities.

   Shame on you, Mr. Sullivan, and any other EP Board members who use US, the taxpayers, to buy them a brand new building, but do not support Ebbetts Pass economically.
