It was shocking to watch elected officials drag out all kinds of people to talk about how everything is perfectly under control during the Butte Fire during their so-called "community meetings"..
As soon as the public was ALLOWED to ask questions, Edson told the cameras to stop
or edit as the yelling began and the questions NOT ONE of them would answer ON VIDEO were allowed to be asked.
These so-called "community meetings" are a joke as far as Calaveras County and their Office of Emergency Services is concerned. It's frightening, absolutely frightening to see.
Even the Red Cross has had to move their "shelter" twice already, and were out there, on video, advertising for business. We've never seen anything like it.
Calaveras County, and especially Supervisors Edson and Kearney, along with the Sheriff, are totally and beyond comprehension, NOT IN CONTROL of anything.
These three should NOT be in elected office of any kind, in our opinion!! Some of the things they tried to say were skewed, and actually phony, and they were only campaigning for their next election; patting each other on the back, etc.
It was a sick, sick sight to see in our county.

That spirit of not having a clue lives on in Edson.
