City of Angels subjecting elderly to loan predators?? Meeting tonite!

UPDATE:    The county just lost $230,000 on bad loans they guaranteed previously.  The taxpayers had been told they would never get stuck with them either.

The City Council of Angels Camp will meet tonight September 1, 2015 at the Firehouse in downtown Angels.

One of the agenda items is to approve the PACE program which opens up the elderly to loan predators
for the purpose of SOLAR upgrades, calling it energy urgent.  The interest rates must be outrageous.

This is for those who don't qualify for regular loans, but who own some property, possibly mobile homes.

These are always paybacks from elected officials to the solar companies. If our councilpeople are that stupid, there is nothing we can do.

Didn't the county just pass PACE? The fearless leader brought the issue to the board. I heard he has publicly expressed he's going to seek a second term. Is Tofanelli saddling up for another run too?

I hope Tofanelli does run. Edseon is a religious nut case! They all run for a second term to get the RETIREMENT!!

Tofanelli running and winning would provide him with a second term required for retirement. Remember Tofanelli was part of the group that gave Garcia that BIG violation pay raise before he left and left a whole lot of work left undone and requiring the County to pay back funding. The DA did not want to prosecute the bos for the violation. A public mea culpa was sufficient in her mind.

We need good people to run for City council seats. It's disgusting what they are doing to the poor; all to help their closest supporters.

To the DA comment. I've heard lots of talk that she is not very honorable herself. how did she get re-elected?

To answer the last question: SUCKERS!

You are wrong about PACE. It is simply a way for anyone to borrow money to make their home more energy efficient. The loan is secured by the house and is paid by the borrower through an assessment on his/her tax bill. If the loan is not paid, the City is NOT responsible for payment. Get your facts straight.
