John Kenfield of Valley Springs, passed away on September 20, 2015 at the age of 83.Born on February 6, 1932, Mr. Kenfield went to school through the 10th grade then served in the US military, the 82nd Airborne.
He was a carpenter by trade and a retired Pastor of the Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church (1998-2015).
His hobbies included fishing and writing and he was published in five poetry books.
He is survived by his wife Della Kenfield and his children Darla, Ronnie, Dennis and John.
A Memorial Service will be held on September 26, 2015 at noon at the Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church at 42 Hwy 26 Ste. #E in Valley Springs, with a luncheon to follow the service.
