September 12, 2015 at 9:45 AM: It's about time we who are living in the Butte Fire, now often referred to as the new "Rim" Fire, got some good news.
We have heard from various parts of the county that fire engines, work crews and bulldozers are arriving in Calaveras County finally to help our firefighters.

Everyone needs to yield to these new firefighters. Move over if you see them on the roadway. Do not try to pass them. Be considerate and safe. They are here to help us.
I'd like to know why they weren't sent here three days ago?
You do realize that the Butte Fire isn't the only fire going on in the west. I recently talked with a friend, whose son in-law is a Cal Fire Captain and he's worked 54 of the last 60 days. At the present time he was in Washington State helping with the fires there. This has been an extraordinary fire year. There have been fire crews from other countries assisting with the fires in the west.
