Per Cal Fire, as of 6 PM on October 1, 2015, after a day of light rain, the Butte Fire has been declared 100% contained.
70,868 acres were burned, along with 475 residences, 343 non-residences and 45 other structures. Two fatalities and 1 injury were also attributed to the Butte Fire.
