There was a lengthy, and not very friendly, discussion during the Calaveras Supervisors meeting on October 13, 2015 about the hope for recovery (or not) after the devastation of the Butte Fire.
Supervisor Wright tried everything to convince other Supervisors that traumatized landowners should have a right to go back on their own land.
However, the only one to agree with him was District 3 Supervisor Oliveira, who said "I don't know how you can keep people off their own land."
The insane BUREACRACY of government is actually scary here in our own county. It feeds upon itself. "I'm just here to get my retirement!" " Leave me alone."

No generators?
What happens when a power outage happens to the Sheriff's office, jail and other county offices? Does a generator supply power?
What is the saying? Never let a crisis go to waste!
