We aren't sure why, because the GM Eggleston has stated that the Calaveras County Water District Board and staff have been working on the Warren Act Contract for years, but tomorrow, October 20, 2015 they will hold anotherSpecial Meeting at 2 PM in their Board Room.
The Warren Act Contract would allow CCWD to store a large amount of water in New Melones Reservoir, but we aren't sure how they would access it.
The other item is a discussion about how much CCWD Board members will receive, or should receive for NON-CCWD Board meeting.
Mr. Eggleston embarrassed himself by attempting to get the Calaveras Supervisors to
sign a letter encouraging Congress to approve their request.
Supervisor Ponte stated that CCWD hadn't even agendized the issue for their own Board members, that she had seen. That's apparently why the sudden Special Meeting for the issue tomorrow.
