| Supervisor Edson cannot stop bringing his religious right wing friends from North Carolina into our government!! |
He also thinks of his religious right wing friends he's trying to allow a takeover of our county government.
In fact, at Tuesday's Board
of Supervisor's meeting, Edson called forward a man who claimed to be from a religious group called Samaritans purse, out of NORTH CAROLINA? but more closely aligned with Edsons local Community Covenant Church.
Edson praised them and gave them time to brag about how they had helped so many people in Calaveras after the Butte Fire by giving them BIBLES.
They did not give a total amount of money they donated and did NOT mention at that time that they were from Edson's church.
He came short of issuing a proclamation like he did the last time this attempt was made.
Are they now going to get money from the government based on the number of people they say they helped out? Taxpayers want to know.
Can't his local church simply help out the local people without trying to bring the right wing into our government AGAIN?
In the church where I was raised, you were not supposed to seek PRAISE or fame for doing good.
We learned that a good Christian helped privately and did not seek honors of any kind. What happened to that?? Mr. Edsel is not like any religious person we have known.
Line up, though and get your free BIBLE!! No pressure here!! It says online that they are saving them "IN JESUS' NAME"?
They go on to say that they are finding people responding to their call to follow the Gospel of Jesus Christ and make decisions to follow him.
It seems that Billy Grahams son is in charge of this religious corporation or works for them in some way.
