Lenora Wilson of Sonora

     Lenora D. Wilson was born in West Palm Beach, Florida on February 27, 1925, the youngest of Andrew and Maggie Downie's four daughters.


    She passes away during the early morning hours of October 12, 2015 in the Sonora
home of her daughter Christine and son-in-law Ron Behrens, with whom she had resided for the past 11 years.

   During WWII she met her husband Wilbert (Roy) and they married August 10, 1944. After WWII they moved to New Jersey where they had nine children. In 1966 the family moved to California.

    Lenora is survived by sons Mark (wife Terri), Andrew (wife Melani), Wilbert, Jr. (wife Erin); daughters Diana, Christine Behrens (husband Ronald), Magdalene Letner (husband Richard), Marguerite, Veronica Kohaya (husband Bobby), twelve grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

   Lenora was preceded in death by her husband of 38 years Wilbert Leroy Wilson, Sr., her first born, Robert, and grandson Matthew.

   Visitation is October 22, 2015 from 1 PM to 5 PM at the Angels Memorial Chapel in Angels Camp. A graveside service will be held at St Patrick's Church in Murphys on October 23, 2015 at 2 PM.
