William Tod Scott passed away on Tuesday October 13, 2015 at Mark Twain Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. He was 86.Tod was born June 26, 1929 in Geary, Oklahoma to William Clifford and Lula Mari Scott.
After finishing school, Tod worked on the family farm, and was then drafter into the US Army during the Korean War.
On October 13, 1952 Tod married Evelyn Carlile, and began earning his living as an electrician, television repairman and carpenter.
He was an avid fiddle and guitar player and also enjoyed gardening and writing poetry.
Tod was an active member of the California State Old Time Fiddlers Association, the California Blue Grass Association and the Metropolitan Owner Club of North America.Tod is survived by his wife of 63 years, Evelyn Scott; two children Jane Curry (Jim) and Susan Carlon (Tim); three grandchildren Sara Fox (Kurt), Jessica Carlon and Kelli Carlon; one great-grandchild Jason Fox; sister LuEllen Stewart and brother Jack Scott.
A Memorial Service for Tod will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, November 14, 2015 at the Mountain Ranch Community Center. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the
Mountain Ranch Fire Relief fund.
San Andreas Memorial Chapel is handling arrangements.
