CHP has just issued an official report of the cement truck that rolled over on Hwy 49 near the Melones Bridge.
Per the CHP on November 12, 2015 around 1:30 PM Micheal J. Ross (49) of San Andreas was driving a fully loaded cement truck southbound on Hwy 49 just north of the Tuolumne County line.
As he entered a curve in the roadway Ross was unable to maintain control of the truck, and due to the unsafe speed of the vehicle, it overturned on the drivers side, pinning him in the cab.
Ross was extricated from the truck by fire personnel and flown to Doctors Medical Center in Modesto with moderate injuries.
The roadway was closed until 5:30 PM to upright the vehicle. Alcohol and or drugs were not a factor in this collision per CHP and nothing spilled from the truck.
