At the Calaveras County Supervisors meeting on Tuesday December 8, 2015 it was made public by Sharon Torrance, PIO that the Calaveras Supervisors had hired her specifically to put a positive "spin" on the Butte Fire and other stories. She was apparently hired to try and make THEM look good!!! And with OUR tax money!!
Torrance also added that she is only reporting on the so-called good people who have helped with things on the fire; not the volunteers, or the churches, but the well-paid employees and contract workers. Very sad, and noticed by the public. One present even complained at the podium that day.

This is not her fault. The admin told her to do this. They don't like any negatives.
Elections are coming up soon. Only one incumbent has announced his intent to run for the first district seat. Maybe the PIO will be able to tell us what he has accomplished in 4 years? Has he been inclusive or devisive in district 1 ?
