There are around 1500 children in Calaveras County (especially since the Butte Fire) who won't be getting much Christmas this year without help.CHIPs for Kids, presented by the California Highway Patrol is asking for donations to help out. Their goal is to give one gift to each child up to age 11. You will find donation barrels at most schools and Sheriff Substations.
