If you choose to live in the boondocks of D2?

Tonja Dausend was one of many taxpayers who spoke about the Calaveras Transit expense, due to low ridership.  Supervisor Wright was visibly upset that D2 was being cut to two trips a week.

In Dausend's comments, she made sense, saying that if you choose to live in a remote or boondock area of D2, she doesn't feel that she should be forced to give you free rides.

If the public remembers, Supervisor Callaway had a plan to put all of the low income people in cluster or "tenement" housing near bus routes and government agencies. She was right about that.

Maybe it is time to put Calaveras Transit and CCOG on the cutting room floor. Both of these organization are prime examples why this county and many other counties throughout this country are in financial crisis.

Well, we know its time to put Kearney and Edson on the cutting room floor, anyway.
