Travis graduated from California State University at Los Angeles in 1970, worked as an auto insurance adjuster, truck driver and trade show manager in San Francisco, Las Vegas and Los Angeles.
After retiring in 2005, Travis enjoyed traveling abroad, photography and playing the guitar.
He was predeceased by his parents and grandson Keith E. Sutton.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years Cathleen A. Key of San Andreas; children Travis W. Key of Tracy, Kevin G. Sutton of Roseville, Kenneth D. Sutton and Keith E. Sutton of Stockton; grandchildren Ashley M. Sutton of Antelope, Terry L. Sutton, Marissa R. Sutton and Vanessa L. Sutton of Stockton; great-grandchildren Payton M. Sutton of Antelope and Jeremiah A. Middecke of Fallon, Nevada.
He was a loving husband and role model for his children. He will be missed by his family and friends.
Services and internment will be private. San Andreas Memorial Chapel is handling arrangements.
