Joanne Jeffords, born in Hollywood on February 26, 1955, died after an 18 month battle with kidney cancer on February 22, 2016. She was 60.
She and her husband of 37 years, David A. Jeffords, moved to Murphys in 2013 and was the Chief Nurse Executive at Mark Twain Medical Center in San Andreas.
Joanne received her nursing degree from San Jose State University and Masters Degree in Public Administration from the University of San Francisco.
For 36 years, Joanne was a passionate leader who advocated for excellence in patient care, and among her achievements, Joanne founded the Transformational Care and Performance Excellence program at Dignity Health for which she was awarded the Disruptive Change Leader.
She enjoyed entertaining, being surrounded by friends and family and serving her community through various organizations, activities and events.
Joanne is survived by her husband David A. Jeffords and her children David T. Jeffords and Laura Jeffords Greenberg; sister Karen Kehoe and brother Robert Trygstad.
A memorial will
be held at Ironstone Vineyards on Saturday March 5, 2016 at 1 PM. A smaller celebration of life will be held at a later date in the Bay Area.
Angels Camp Memorial Chapel is handling arrangements.
