WHAT THE WORLD NEEDS NOW IS MORE GUNS!!!
Per the Calaveras Sheriff's Office, on April 20, 2016 at 3:40 PM, the Calaveras County sheriff's Office responded to an area described as a quarry near the 1100 block of Bald Mountain Road in West Point for a male
juvenile who had been shot.
A 14-year-od male and 16-year-old male, both of West Point, were reportedly bird hunting in the area when the 16-year-old allegedly accidentally shot the victim.
The victim sustained injuries to his face and upper body. Fire personnel and paramedics arrived on scene and transported the victim to Mark Twain Hospital, but later succumbed to his injuries.
Sheriff detectives responded to the scene to investigate the incident. The 16-year-od suspect was arrested for alleged Discharge of a Firearm in a Grossly Negligent Manner (felony), according to the report, and turned over to the custody of the Calaveras County Juvenile Probation Department.
The investigation into the incident is on-going.

It's an absolute miracle that this hasn't happened at the forest service quarry at candyrock. a miracle, but it will happen eventually. do they care?
What on earth kind of gun were they hunting with, a shotgun?
