Glenda Jean Hampton, age 76, of Murphys, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday April 12, 2016, surrounded by her loving family.Mrs. Hampton was a 50 year resident of Calaveras County, spending most of her childhood in White Pines. She was a native of Oklahoma and very proud of her Cherokee heritage.
Glenda was preceded in death by her daughter Cheryl, parents Roy and Juanita Ballard and a sister, Louise Smith.
Angels Memorial Chapel is handling arrangements.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Harold Hampton of Murphys, two sons; Jim Hampton (Jill) and Troy Hampton (Allison), 6 grandchildren, 1 great grandson 5
sisters and 1 brother.
Inurnment will be private. Angels Memorial Chapel is handling arrangements.

We were so sorry to hear your beloved Glenda had lost her fight. Please take comfort in knowing she is now in the loving arms of our Heavenly Father, with no more sickness or pain, surrounded by the love ones who went before her, and that one day, we will all be together again.
