Calaveras Cannabis Initiative would save tax dollars!

"I've got the munchies. Come to
think of it, I've always got the
Munchies!"
The Calaveras Supervisors have the option to approve the Calaveras Cannabis Initiative, which collected nearly twice the number of signatures required.

If they pass it at the Board, it will not need to go on the ballot in November, and the County can start collecting tax money and avoid paying $172,000 in EIR consulting fees.  Are our Supervisors smart enough to see the light???  We'll see at the next meeting!

So does that mean if they pass it before July 1 they can collect taxes for the year?

Yes they can. Those growers out in mountain ranch led by that Caz guy will make millions in the next years to come. They better be taxed heavily. The county needs money and the crop is in and strong. Make em pay for all the time the BoS have spent. It will pass in November throughout Calif for recreational so get it on the tax roll

I totally agree, in spite of the idiot tea party behavior. Pass cannabis for all uses. It's liquor that should be banned, if anything!

He's not "that Caz guy". He's smarter than most of the elected officials in this county! You sound jealous.

Just look at these two. Do they look smart enough, or as if they care enough to do what's right? These are two of the three stooges on the board in my opinion

We call these two RECALL and double RECALL

The one thing I notice is the BoS dont enforce where the growers sell the product. If for medical use great, but we all know the mountain ranch gang sell to people out of state, other counties etc. They should only be able to sell directly to dispensaries after the product is tested so no chemicals were used
