Dear Editor:
I recently saw part of in interview on one of the local channels with a guy named Taylor and the Black Bart Playhouse manager (I think)
Graham Green.
Now I seem to remember several years ago a man named Dixon Collins, a big shot (or so he said) said he had millions of dollars lined up to fix up the building, add on to the building, etc, if only the Calaveras BOS would give the building to the group he represented.
In this interview, however, the Green guy admitted that absolutely nothing had been done, that the roof is still a shambles and they are still occupying the building; essentially that it is a disaster.
Something is wrong here! Did Collins lie? Did Green lie? No one goes to their plays! They're awful, in my opinion. Does this Green just sit there and collect a salary? Does the County still own it? Shouldn't it be given to someone honorable, who will do what they say??
I think so! Concerned Murphys resident

The last time I was in there it smelled llike pot was growing or being smoked real strong. It may be just a pot den now.
Taylor is a weirdo, ut that green has a nasty temper. I've seen him.
I always felt they only do Shakespeare and other free plays so he doesn't have to pay royalties. he gets all the money that way so he doesn't have to work. just the way I feel, anyway.
You must not have known Collins then. I did business with that man one time, and only one time. I can't think of enough bad names for him. and i hear he left his wife penniless and she had to get a job. After all the big shot talking he did everywhere he went.
Seems to me Tryon and Callaway supported Collins in this bad deal, just another screw up from their time on the board.
Don't even mention that name, Dixon Collins. I couldn't stand the man.
A blowhard, big mouth conman, I always felt. he could fool our dump elected officials though. AC thought he was a genius. hahahahaha
Ain't Collins daaaiiid?
Well, he better be, cause i'm a ...oh that' from a moveie.
