UPDATE: While the Fire Department may not be eager to tell us, the neighbors in the Avery area were. Someone was reportedly burning illegally in their backyard and even went off and left it. Unbelievable.
UPDATE at 11:15 AM: Per CalFire the fire started near Bluebird Lane in Avery and has burned about 1/4 acre. Three engines are at the scene and have it contained, thank goodness.
The cause is under investigation. You don't think someone was actually burning, do you??
.Rumors are that there is a brush fire in Avery. We are trying to confirm that now. We will let you know as soon as we know for sure.

there are more dead trees in avery than almost anywhere. you can see them from the road. there should be NO burning at all.
Yur darn right. That sob was burning illegally and went off and left the pile alone. Tried to burn all our houses down. He better have been cited.
