Today is the first of the newly appointed Calaveras County Sheriff Di Basilio to begin his campaign for election of 2018, which isn't far off.
He calls it meeting the public, but we know that he needs to campaign early and often to keep this cushy job he got a political appointment for. Already, he had shown to have NO Transparency and No response to victims needs. And his extreme ties (we hear they drink together) with Supervisor Oliveira (who is hanging on by the skin of his teeth), is absolutely SCARY!!

Easy to get appointed after a long term guy passes away. Not so easy to get elected especially after the stupid comments at the last few BoS meetings. The recent meeting in Mountain Ranch told the whole story about this sheriff. I wonder what his education backround is and why would he tell the board of supes at a filmed meeting his enjoyment of eating? Bizzare

The BOS was supposed to do a background but Olivera stopped it because he knew DiBasilo couldn't pass it.
He seems like a nice guy, but he's too in love with kuntz
Butt kisser is all he is. He now has a higher salary and thinks he know all the answers. Good luck with your re election. WE VOTE NO
