The forward spread of the Baker Fire that was reported at Baker and School streets in Copperopolis just after 3 PM on July 21, 2016 was stopped by 5:30 PM with help from air and ground attack.At that time the total acres indicated burned was 60 and containment was 40%. Obyrnes Ferry Road was closed for awhile due to fire personnel in the area. The cause has not yet been determined.
