Fatal collision in Twain Harte

   According to a CHP report, on July 9, 2016 around 9:50 AM Cary A. Lee (63) of Tuolumne was driving a 2003 GMC Yukon eastbound on Hwy 108 attempting to make a left hand turn onto Twain Harte Drive in Twain Harte.

   Christine Robinson (66)
of Cold Springs at this time, driving a 1989 Toyota pickup, was traveling westbound on Hwy 108 approaching Twain Harte Drive.

  For unknown reasons Lee failed to yield the right of way to Robinson and turned
right in front of her vehicle, causing the Toyota to collide with the Yukon.

   Robinson suffered major injuries and was flown to Doctors Medical Center in Modesto.

   Robinson's 73 year old passenger, who's name is being withheld, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.

   Lee suffered minor injuries and was not transported to a hospital.
