As of July 27, 2016 at 2:30 PM Cal Fire shows the Soberanes Fire near Carmel has grown to 23,568 acres and is only 10% contained. Hwy 1 remains closed in the area.2000 homes are under evacuation orders, 20 homes have been destroyed and the
cause is still under investigation.
