According to a CHP report on July 16, 2016 around 1:45 PM a motorcycle rider (73) of Soulsbyville, was traveling west on Hwy 108 near Herring Creek Lane in Strawberry at an unknown rate of speed.
Per witnesses, the motorcycle, for an unknown reason allowed the motorcycle to drift off the edge of the highway onto the gravel, where he hit a metal marker, then hit a tree and overturned down the embankment.
The driver, who's name is being withheld, was ejected from the motorcycle and was pronounced dead at the scene of the collision.
Per CHP they indicate drugs may not be a factor in this collision.
