At the Calaveras Supervisors meeting on July 26, 2016 the agenda has an item to approve a $9,775,000 payment and contract to Phillips and Jordan, Inc., a Tennessee company.
This money is to remove the dead trees in the Calaveras County right-of-ways near road in the Butte Fire area. CW Emerson and Sutton were local companies who applied and did not get the work.

There you go Supes! Pay out of town people instead of helping the local economy. Many a good tree company in Calaveras
Really why didnt they hire local guys and support us. There are plenty of licensed abrorists that could hire the locals and help us out
