On August 7, 2016 at approximately 1:40 PM Donald Van Hooser (61) of Roseville, was riding his 2008 Harley Davidson motorcycle on Hwy 4 near Mosquito Lake, east of Hermit Valley.
The driver turned the vehicle in an attempt to avoid a bump in the roadway and lost control of the vehicle.
The motorcycle overturned in the roadway, ejecting both parties onto the roadway.
The motorcycle continued in a westerly direction until it struck a tree on the north shoulder.
The driver and his passenger Cyndie Reed (60) of Roseville were transported by ambulance to Mark Twain Medical Center with minor injuries.
Alcohol and/or drugs are not believed to be a factor in this collision, per the report.
