Trump: "I always wanted a Purple Heart!"

My father, like many
others earned a Purple
Heart fighting in WWII.
And Trump 'always wanted
one, like its an Emmy Award??'

  What on earth was Trump saying, when he held up a Purple Heart a man had apparently given him "I always wanted a Purple Heart!" How dare he insult John McCain!!

   Was he saying "I always wanted to be wounded in action?" or was he saying "I wish I hadn't avoided the Vietnam draft like all the rich kids with college deferments and
then got a doctor to say I had a bad heel?"  What kind of person says something like that???
