CHP Thanksgiving traffic report
According to CHP between 6 PM Wednesday and midnight last night San Andreas CHP handled 5 accidents. Unfortunately one was a fatality.Officers wrote 38 citations; 19 for speeding, 1 for double yellow lines, 1 for no seatbelt, etc. Resident officers were kept busy in the snow in Ebbetts Pass. They responded to numerous spinouts and wrote 3 citations for trying to drive in the snow without chains.

November 26, 2016: Due to the number of dead trees in Ebbetts Pass caused by the bark beetle, residents should be prepared for power failures in the coming storm. Snow is expected down to 3500'.
