We hear major complaints about the Angels Camp Police Department; whether its having favorite criminals or being racist in their choice of vehicle pullovers, they do not answer to the people.
The current Chief of Police is Todd Fordahl and he has many problems, culminating with his collision into a car in the middle of an intersection while supposedly chasing down a suspect, but headed the wrong way.
We feel it is past time that the Chief of the Angels Camp Police should be elected, or that the Calaveras Sheriff's Office should take over the law enforcement duties in the city. They are already doing most of the law enforcement work here.
