According to a Calaveras Sheriff's Office press release, on November 9, 2016 at 2:20 AM deputies responded to the 6000 block of Michel Road in Mountain Ranch for a trespassing incident.
Deputies arrived on scene and could hear an adult woman yelling for help. They found the woman bund by duct tape. She also appeared to be suffering from serious injuries.
The woman was treated on scene and transported to an area hospital for further treatment. Her condition is currently unknown.
It is alleged that the woman and suspect, identified as Kevin Eugene Ross (49) of Sacramento, had a verbal altercation. On the date of the incident the woman returned to the property that she shares with Ross, per the press release.
Allegedly, when the victim arrived, the suspect ran her over with an ATV, bound her with duct tape and struck her multiple times with his hands and a handgun.
During the investigation detectives located a registered marijuana grow n the property with what appeared to be a Butane Hash Oil (BHO) processing site.
The deputies contacted suspect Ross at the scene and took him into custody on several charges, with bail set at $140,000. The incident is still under investigation.
