Why Calaveras cannot get or keep GOOD cops??? Corruption!!!!

I'm with you!! Outta here!!

   For years now, we have watched Captain Macedo go before the Calaveras Supervisors and demand more money; money for more deputies, money for equipment; money for vehicles.

   It seems they never can get enough!! And yet, crime
is much worse now. And why can't the county keep good cops?

   We asked a couple of county sheriff deputies from another area for their opinion.  And while they said they don't like talking about other law enforcement, they did open our eyes.

   They said that counties with political corruption, bad cops on the force and off, who they protect and lie for and NEVER discipline or arrest, is one reason no one wants to work there.

   It seems there are good cops in other places, but here in Calaveras, where Kuntz and his drinking buddy Supervisor Oliveira ran things, and then appointed another temporary pot smoker who likes the corruption, NO ONE wants to work here.  We understand totally!!

   There is nothing like DIRTY COPS, who write false reports, abuse women victims, allow the worst of the worst to be free and simply do not help the citizens!  The Sierra Sentinel can list some of them that we have documented over the years.

   The worst of the worst the Sheriff keeps, it seems because they do what they are told and do not ask questions.  The best of the best move on to an honorable county.  This is so sad!!!
