President Ike Eisenhower made some profound and inciteful statements in the past. He warned about the capitalist military complex takeover
and how it would become a controlling force in America.
This morning, Governor Schwartzenegger and Smerconish were talking about how the Republicans believe Jerrymandering is the way to win elections; that the voters shouldn't have to come to you, but you draw the lines to pick your voters.
McClintocks district is exactly like that. Schwartzenegger reminded us all that President Eisenhower also warned that politics is like a road; if you go too far to the right or the left, you end up in the gutter. The only way you can drive is to stay on the center roadway.
Nothing gets done in Washington when the extremes are holding everything in the gutter.
