For months the SierraSentinel.com has received complaints that SPI and other large trucks that frequent Hwy 4 are overloaded,among other problems.
The CHP is now at the scales in Murphys, weighing and inspecting all loaded trucks. On traveling up Hwy 4 just now, we saw 2 logging trucks at the scales, with about half the usual logs before the CHP was there.
Then at Forest Meadows there were 4 logging trucks parked and the drivers were going around checking things before they went to the scales in Murphys.
We called the San Andreas CHP office and commended them for their help. A big thanks to CHP!!!
