Head-on collision in San Andreas

   On June 17, 2017 at around 4:10 PM  the CHP reports that Katrina Williams (25) of Sacramento was driving her Jeep on Hwy 12, headed west, near Hwy 49.

    Janet Ballou (54) of San Andreas was headed east in her Ford truck on Hwy 12 approaching the Jeep.

    For an undetermined reason Williiams turned her Jeep to the left into the path of the truck.

    Ballou had no time to react and the vehicles collided head-on.  The Jeep veered to the left and overturned down the embankment south of the roadway.

   The truck traveled off the north ide of the roadway and down the north embankment.  Ballou was transported to Mark Twain Hospital with moderate injuries. He passenger Lee Henderson (79) of San Andreas, was also transported to Mark Twain.

   Williams was transported to Mark Twain Hospital with minor injuries. Her passenger Francisco Ruiz (50) of Sacramento was also transported to Mark Twain Hospital with minor injuries.
