Born April 5, 1975 in Fresno, Melissa Lynn Cortez-Earl passed away on August 13, 2017 at home with her family at her side.She is survived by her husband of 25 years, John W. Earl and her children Marissa Earl, Megan
Earl and John W. Earl, Jr. of Valley Springs, three grandchildren; Bailey, Kinsley and Brody of Wilseyville, and brother Joseph Cortez of Oklahoma.
She was preceded in death by her parents Paul and Billie Kay Cortez and her grandparents.
Services will be held at San Andreas Memorial Chapel with a viewing from 8:30 AM to 12 PM followed by a graveside service at Sunset View Cemetery in Jackson at 1 PM.
Family and friends are welcome to return to her home for a celebration of life in Valley Springs afterward.
San Andreas Memorial Chapel is handling arrangements.
