Big Trees cut down for "DAYLIGHT" on Hwy 4

   Caltrans now says that the real reason they cut down all the beautiful big redwoods along Hwy 4 above Big Trees State Park was to "DAYLIGHT" the roadway. HUH?????

  Due to the frequency of collisions on the icy stretch, they cut them down for SAFETY.  Instead of doing something to slow down traffic, they cut all those trees so the sun would shine on that stretch of roadway to make it safer for the tourists???  

   If Caltrans though locals were mad about that project before, wait til they learn about this fact!!
