Elsie May Hebenstreit, native of Calaveras County

   Elsie was born February 2, 1932 in Murphys and lived her entire life in Calaveras County. She passed away n November 3, 2017 in San Andreas with her
family at her side. She lived in Angels Camp at the time of her death.

   She was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Robert Elias Hebenstreit. She is survived by her only son, Walter Robert Hebenstreit of Angels Camp and her grandchildren Dean Hebenstreit (Loi) of Elk Grove and Carly Saunders (Kris) of Elk Grove. She also has a surviving sister Blanche Bardsley Merian of Linden and many nieces and nephews.

   She was preceded in death by her parents Dexter William Bardsley and Franie Hacker Bardsley, brothers Richard William Bardsley, Robert Earl Bardsley, Gene Carol Bardsley, John Arthur Bardsley, Dexter Christian Bardsley and her sister JoAnn Delores Olivier.

   Elsie enjoyed talking road trips and visited almost every interesting area in the state of California. She was able to take her final trip to the Sierras this year to enjoy the fall foliage. She was also an avid gardener and maintained her own large yard well into her 80's.

   She was a quiet person who enjoyed her friends and loved her family and she will be missed by
each and every one of them.

  Graveside services will be held at the family plot in Buena Vista Cemetery in Murphys at 11 AM on Monday November 13, 2017.

   Angels Memorial Chapel is handling arrangements.
