According to CHP on November 26, 2017 around 3:45 PM R.J. Vanderwoude (39) of San Andreas, was riding a 1984 Honda motorcycle on Sunset Street and Russells Road in wet weather.
The speed was undetermined but CHP says his level f intoxication and wet conditions, Vanderwoude lost control of the motorcycle and was ejected off the motorcycle.
He sustained major injuries and was transported to Modesto Memorial Medical Center for treatment.
He was subsequently arrested for DUI, but due to his injuries has not been booked into the Calaveras County Jail.
