On December 29, 2017 at approximately 11 AM a man (63) driving a 2003 Jeep was traveling west on Hwy 120 in Jamestown, near Hwy 108 when he lost control of the vehicle.
Ximenes Pereira (70) of Tracy was driving a 2012 Chrysler Town and Country, eastbound on Hwy 120, slowing to make a turn towards Yosemite when the collision occurred.
The driver of the Jeep was pronounced deceased at the scene. The name is being withheld for notification of next of kin.
All parties in the Chrysler were transported to Adventist Health Sonora by Tuolumne County Ambulance with moderate to major injuries. These include Joe Simas (44), Susan Simas (37), Catarina Simas (2), and Juliana Simas (4), all of Patterson.
