Head-on collision leads to explosions--2 die

   January 31, 2018: A gasoline tanker truck and a tow truck collided head-on on Hwy 20 near Grass Valley, leading to explosions from both vehicles.

   The tanker truck had around 8500 gallons in the tank. Two died from this collision.  The fire was so intense, firefighters could not access the vehicles for some time.
